The MEd LTHE is a postgraduate programme and so we expect you to read widely among relevant educational journals and books. We realise that some of the readings may be challenging, particularly if you work in a field very different from education or if English is not your first language. There will be many opportunities during the programme to discuss readings and receive feedback on your ideas. The texts marked as essential are suggested introductory texts which may be helpful as a starting point.

The purpose of this reading and resources list is to provide suggested reading to supplement the prescribed readings for the programme. There will be readings set by tutors throughout the programme which are the compulsory required readings for the programme. These are set out in the programme Moodle area. The resources detailed below are therefore not meant to be a set of books and journals that you must read, but a list of resources to browse and search for what would be most relevant to you depending on your interests or your choices of topics for assessments.
